Spotlessly clean room, fairly clean hotel in general.

Simple hotel with good free Wi-Fi. Nice beds, central heating, multi-channel TV, and a writing desk in the room. Quiet location very close to closest good restaurants and the forest and Guimaraes, quiet ambience. Also, in very clean area😀

The place was clean. Our room was perfectly clean. the staff were helpful and excellent all the time. Greatly enjoyed central heating, television, and a writing table in the room. the city view was a bonus. the location couldn't be more peaceful near the metro or underground.

The city center, with its charming cobblestone streets and medieval architecture, is a must-visit. We also enjoyed a lovely day trip to the Peneda-Geres National Park, where we immersed ourselves in nature and hiked along breathtaking trails. The whole family was captivated by the beauty of Bom Jesus do Monte, a stunning sanctuary with a majestic staircase offering awe-inspiring views. Our visit to Guimaraes was truly an enriching experience for all of us.

My wife says that having a dedicated kids' menu at the hotel restaurant would have made our dining experience more enjoyable for the little ones.

The Easter menu on the voucher had an absurdly expensive mandatory minimum spend with just a basic roast chicken and not much else to choose from. the breakfast was meager and disappointing.

This hotel is perfectly situated in a peaceful surrounding, away from the city hustle and bustle, but still conveniently located near metro and good restaurants. the room and bathroom are very clean, with nice furniture and a comfy bed. the friendly staff provide great service and everything runs smoothly. Breakfast is an adequate and tasty spread with good quality rolls and croissants. the hotel also offers free parking, and there are some nice forest trails nearby.

The food at the hotel's restaurant is quite expensive and of simple quality, with no options to choose from.

The guestrooms at Hotel das Taipas are just perfect for a light sleeper like me. With 24-hour room service and air conditioning, I could enjoy a cozy and comfortable stay. The work desk and satellite TV with 38 channels were great additions too. The room was spacious and decorated with carpeted floors, giving it a warm and inviting feel. And let's not forget the deep soaking bathtubs in the bathrooms - perfect for unwinding after a long day!

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the shower/tub combination. But hey, that's just me.
